What Our Clients are Saying
DRI Consulting has served over 500 organizations and about 10,000 individuals to date. Many of our clients recognize that effective organization change takes work. We thank each of the over one thousand people and 200 companies who have given us feedback to date.
I showed my report to my wife and she said that it described me perfectly – what I am good at and what I need to work on.
CEO Candidate hired by a client organization
This was an excellent training. I've been a licensed clinical psychologist since 1985. The prep materials and process was some of the best CE I have attended. Dr. Fennig did an excellent job of explaining concepts, responding to questions, and giving practical examples. His attention to the course process was as instructive as the content. Thanks!

Based on all the information and the experience of the interviews, the admissions board and general council decided, after a great deal of deliberation, not to go ahead with XYZ candidacy. The areas of concern that you had noted showed up in her interviews.
I wanted to let you know that your report was extremely helpful. Several members of the team who have read a number of these psychological reports said this was the most helpful report they had ever seen.
Many thanks for working with us.

Thanks again for such an amazing and valuable workshop. I tried the meeting roles: time keeper and process and learner observers in a senior orientation session just now. Although it was only 7 persons and one hour, the roles added a lot of value to the session. As I expected no one wanted the Observer role (that's typical in our culture - especially among senior people). And of course it had to be an individual, since it was such a small group. So I assigned it and it worked very well!
I feel a lot more hopeful about my professional future now, thanks to the workshop!
"We appreciated all of the invaluable information provided by DRI through the assessment phase."
Overall, the report was quite spot on, and I appreciated the report. It was a great snapshot of myself and my capabilities, and I appreciate the input on areas to work on developing further. It is rare to get such a comprehensive and professional outside assessment of one's abilities and management style.

"Thanks so much for being willing to do this Dr. Fennig! Having a good coach helped keep me on track!"
It was great to see you at the Granite Equity show yesterday. Fortune was on my side because I won a $25 cash prize from your company. Thank you!
You asked me how 'things' are going: I am having great conversations with our President to see if I'm the right guy for the job. I'm also being tested in a number of ways to see how I handle certain new responsibilities. All things considered, I'm cautiously optimistic.
The series of tests given by DRI Consulting are a great help for me. I am now able to objectively see 'who' I am, my strengths and opportunities for improvements.
Director of Municipal Sales
John – I believe the discussion we had with you yesterday was very helpful and productive. You are an effective ambassador for the practice of consulting psychology and organizational consulting. I have had several students let me know how valuable they found this time with you. I appreciate the time you took to spend with us—I believe it will pay dividends in terms of what the students take away from this.
Best wishes in your life and your career, including as Div. 13 President-to-be and President. I hope to have contact with you in the future. As an FYI, my primary research and practice interest focuses on religiousness/spirituality. I appreciate your evident integration of your faith into your professional life and your practice.

From all accounts the quality of the work was appropriate for our purposes. Once again, thank you for your assistance in providing the assessment, it was highly valuable in our selection process.

Thanks for facilitating our two-day meeting and hosting us at North Oaks Golf Club — a lovely facility with great food. Some of the work we did was difficult for me, but I think it will be worthwhile in the long run.
I especially want to thank you for creating a team activity around golf that was comfortable even for mini golfers like me!
I hope to have the opportunity to work with you again.
D.K. 3M Manager
From a USACE Leadership Development Participant sent from Camp Taji Iraq. This is his second time in Iraq, the first in 2003 ending with him being hurt seriously by a roadside bomb.
I have been meaning to write for a long while. There is not a day that passes by without me thinking of the three of you. You have impacted my life in tremendous ways. The LDP 05 training was frustrating and downright traumatic for me; in part because I really didn’t have much to apply the learning to and in part maybe because I am usually a counterweight in group such as these. I think the latter was actually a unique aspect for the composition of the class (who do you know that brags about being bad!).
Here now I am finding myself applying the very important principles of coexisting with others that I have picked up with your help. Everything I have learnt is important to me, and these are important more profoundly. I am practicing Seeking First to Understand and see Tori holding a shovel standing next to me when I do not. I am practicing “…your way or the highway” principal, and hear John in his deep voice telling me “…only if you could do a little o’ that.” And I hear Carl telling me in his warm and friendly voice “…you have got to try to learn about people.” Of course there are those moments when I actively marshal my thinking and strategizing talents, in a non-threatening way, and I am finding myself to be much more effective. This is especially helping me effectively lead upward. I champion others actively even in the areas where I am more of an expert. I have a new friend here who is also a philosopher who made a quote which I use now as part of my signature. He is a lot friendlier now than he was when we first started working with each other. I guess he knows that “I care.” Excellence here is in lack of excellence. Sometimes I hear a voice in my head, which I think is my own, telling me: “…dare to lower your standards” And I have been doing that. I have tried using the standards of the contractors as square one and helped them to raise theirs and at their own pace.
I am well, and as you have gathered I am having a great time learning new things in business of the USACE and am enjoying my unique opportunities to be empathic, especially with the locals. I don’t know what they are showing on TV back home, but apparently the media recently has been showing bad things. My wife called and wondered if I was dead since something really bad happened in Baghdad. We do hear the sounds of battle and explosions. Our base has been twice impacted in the last two months that I have been here. Two days ago I was on a mission very similar to the one which was my last back in 03. The project is to rehabilitate an asphalt plant. We had to end our meeting prematurely because our security escort called for us to wrap it up and get in the vehicles. Then after a few minutes of conversations on the radio we were told that a roadside bomb had gone off somewhere along the path we were to take and we had been contacted for assistance in battle. Later they reported they had gained control of the “situation” and no longer needed us – a very close call to join in the excitement.
Teaching is not teaching indeed if there is no learning. There has been learning for me, and so thank you for your teaching. And thank you very much for having thought of me..
-Take care of yourselves.

The Minneapolis Police Department has had an exceptional working relationship with DRI Consulting. We contract with DRI for applicant psychological testing and fitness for duty examinations for existing employees. In these litigious times, DRI has been successful due to their progressive approaches with participant-involved testing and assessment feedback. Their approach serves those being examined as well as the department.

I really want to thank you for a great LDP program. You have set us up for success in our careers in so many ways. I find myself looking for opportunities to use my new knowledge in the workplace, as well as at home. Each principal in this course provoked deep reflection and has made me want to do and be better. Thank you for facilitating excellence.

I fully credit the Transitioning Consultant's group training I did with DRI Consulting last year, as well as the individual encouragement and coaching you've given me, for helping me make this transition to this type of work. I am very excited about this new phase of my career and I hope you will be willing to stay in touch and be open to my seeking you out as a mentor going forward.

Psychotherapy, Career Counseling,
Hi Tori — hope all's well with you! I just wanted to say thanks again for pointing me to Toastmasters, and for teaching my LDP class of 2008. I am graduating EL and am at CES Basic this week. I have served as an officer of my Toastmasters club for 3 terms and recently completed my Competent Communicator series. I was selected supervisor of Environmental Engineering section last fall, and have much to learn in that arena. Much of my success is owed to the opportunities that came my way via LDP.
Thanks for your hard work and dedication.
Your representatives did an outstanding job, and that the session was a true contribution to the overall training.
